I’m Kathryn Parker, a long-time WOW sister. When I attended the first WOW retreat ten years ago, I was ill and depressed and had a difficult time connecting with my sisters. However, my experience introduced me to women who befriended me and changed my life. If I needed them, I knew I could call on them to help, and they would come as they were able. The same held true on my end. So it is with deep gratitude that I choose to lead the WOW E Pals Program so we can all easily and joyfully connect with each other.
In the excitement and spirit of Women of Wisdom, which is all about connecting with the Divinity in each of us, the WOW E Pals program has been designed to allow us get to know each other at a deeper and more comfortable level, even if you have never been to the WOW Annual Retreat.
What’s This All About?
If you volunteer to participate, I will need your name, email, and phone number. From that, you will be randomly matched with another WOW E Pals participant. Beginning in January, 2018, you will connect with your first E Pal for one month. On the first Sunday of each month, you will be assigned to a new WOW E Pal.
If you choose to join, please do so in the spirit of commitment to at least 15 minutes once a week for 4 weeks with your randomly chosen WOW E-sister.
You can choose to meet by:
- snail mail
- Skype or Facetime
- or in person
You will decide together when and where and how to connect. Once you sign up, I will provide you with guidelines to make it easy and fun to step into exploratory conversations.
Eazy Peazy Guidelines 🙂
Week 1: Who are you? What is your family/work/spiritual life like? Find out about your E-Pal.
Weeks 2 and 3: Answer one or more prompting questions, which will be provided once you sign up.
Week 4: Celebrate with gratitude! Finalize your time together in a meaningful way with this woman you did not know before. Send your feedback to me and get ready for your next E-Pal.
